Christians aren't the only ones that say that - anyone who believes in fate would say that and you don'thave to be a Christian. Good things can come through bad things in life. If something happen for a really *%$'d reason, then deal with it - it is sadly the kind of world we live in.

Some Christians do say everything happens for a reason, but that is not Christianity. It is not found in the Bible or in the teachings of the Church.
It would be more accurate to say that many chance events are unfavorable (i.e., bad luck), but that God has a right response to every adversity. Responding to God in adversity brings greater intimacy with the Creator. Our model is Jesus, who faced the ultimate adversity in obedience to God, bringing salvation to all who seek him.

there is very a great number of distinction between the two statements. the 1st says that each thing takes place for a reason. this is obviously actual. there become a reason (notwithstanding if non secular or human). the 2d means that God brought about it. that isn't constantly actual. yet, God can use any difficulty for solid. you shouldn't in basic terms like the forged that He makes from it, yet he will convey approximately solid from it besides. yet, to make it easier to comprehend that God did something evil is absurd.

"everything happens for a reason" is a cognitive crutch used to avoid having to find out what that real reason was...
