You've got too many other programs running to open large programs like Word or Photoshop.

Click START, then RUN, and type in MSCONFIG. Click the tab marked STARTUP. Everything with a checkmark starts with up with Windows.

Shut them off one at a time and restart the computer to see what you can get away with.

Cleaner startup = more resources available = no 'program not responding' messages.

wow, I wish I had a computer like that. I am guessing its due to a bad install of the printer driver/program. so install , clean the registry , install again.

Edit: ignore the coughcough that thinks your got too many programs running ffs you have 2 gigs of ram. also you aren't lagging at the start up so why would you close down the start up programs.

It sounds like its the printer with the problem not your laptop as you are having problems printing and I think photo shop is downloaded with the printer. If it is not that you may like to try reloading photo shop and word. Follow my solutions and you will be as right as rain in no time!
