we are wondering in my office, that if i am doing 70 in the slow lane and someone is plodding along at 60 in the middle, should i have to cross 2 lanes to pass, or can i stay in my lane and safely pass?

The highway code gives a definitive answer on this one, but I bet you`ve not read the H.C. since you took your test ? You should overtake on the right by going into lane 3. Annoying, isn`t it ?

Undertakers on the motorway. Do they drive hearse's top hats black coats? Pass on any lane you want if the traffic laws allow it. You must mean overtaking on the motor way watch out for those cop's in a box speed camerias.

It depends on the country or in the U.S., the state. In Pennsylvania, you're allowed to overtake and pass on the right. An older law was changed. Under the old law, that was illegal.
