No, not rabies. Rabies is recieved by a bite, blood. Your dog is a mammal just as you are. He is sick with a bacteria or virus and you have caught it. Take him to a vet and you to a doctor for treatment.

I am very curious as to #1/ You are waiting 10 days to ask this question and #2/ Why are you asking it here instead of at a Doctor's office?
I am not trying to be condecending, I just don't know if you realize the potential of the seriousness of your situation. It could be nothing, but if it is something, time is of the essence when it comes to treatment...if nothing else, just call a physician and ask, the nurse will ask the doctor and get back with you and there should be no charge, just don't waste any more time...ok?

Well, if you do, you are SOL!!!!!! Once symptoms have started, you are dead. There is no treatment.
To EA L: the "painful" vaccines are for PREVENTION!!! NOT treatment!!!!! Get a clue and know what you are talking about!!! Rabies is FATAL once symptoms have started. Vaccination of people is done when there is EXPOSURE and the animal cannot be tested....like when you are bitten by a stray cat that runs away and cannot be caught. Vaccination is not started once there are symptoms of the disease.

Did you have your dog vaccinated? I can honestly say with confidence that no you don't have rabies. I do not think that dog saliva in your eye has anything to do with you running a fever this week.

The only way to tell for sure is to cut your head off and do an autopsy of the brain.

There is no possibility of that. Your dog would also not be sneezing. (In other words be really happy ^_^)
