sounds like you are retaining water and that is not good . you could try water pills and see if that helps if not then go to a dr and see what they say . also cut down on your salt . salt is not always our friend.. good luck I hope you feel better soon .

Sounds like you're retaining water. Do your socks leave an indent around your ankles? When you wake up, do you have line indents on your body and face from your blankets and pillow? When you lie down, do you notice you have to urinate more than usual? I have this problem, (runs in my family) and I have a prescription for releasing some of this water and it does help. Cutting salt out of your diet will do wonders. There are also some natural direutics that I have tried, like a tea (check your natural health food store). And most importantly (and ironically) drink your 8 glasses of water a day. The more water you drink, the more your body flushes out.

Talk to your doctor or check out WebMD.com it could be a number of things like Diabetes, water retention, Kidney infection etc....limit your salt intake as well, that can cause swelling in your hands also. Good luck!

Doesn't have to be pain in the joints for it to be arthritis...so that would be my first guess. Second guess would be possibly too much salt in your diet, third guess would be diabetes.
