Here is food for thought, farting, burping, hiccuping and sneezing are all bodily functions. When we were created none of them were considered rude. They were all a necessary function of the body. Someone had to come along and not like it and start complaining thus over time it became rude. I wonder who that person was, Eve?
I view this the same as profanity. In the beginning they were just words, uttered in anger or to express other emotions. The words probably had no meaning at all. Someone came along and said You can't say that it is bad. So the words became profanity to which you shouldn't utter. People try to use a different word to express themselves but each time someone else says that's bad you can't say that. Such as saying freaking instead of f------. Now it is said you can't say freaking because that means the same as f ------. Pretty soon we won't be aloud to say oh fudge either because SOMEONE will come along and say that means the same thing as this or that blah..blah....blah. Is anyone else getting tired of SOMEONE telling them how to live their life and what they can and can not say?

It is considered rude to sneeze--if you don't cover when you do. It's also considered rude to hiccup if you do so loudly and repeatedly.
All four aforementioned noises are considered rude in "polite society" because, literally, they disrupt the flow of conversation. Farting is obviously the worst offense because, in addition to creating a moment of embarrassment, it can also render the immediate surroundings unpleasant for a few minutes. Burping can have the same effect if the burper ate garlic! But imagine the chaos that would ensue if you spewed a sneeze over the table at a dinner party; or hiccupped so loudly or violently that no one could simply ignore it.
Unthinkable! :)

You can't control hiccups & sneezes but I do find it rude if someone sneezes & don't cover they're nose!. Farts stink so do burps are very antisocial as they produce smell & an embarrising noise. Time & place for these sort of bodily gasses!.

As soon as you jumped on the nationality/ ethnicity of the family, this became questionable. As you continued, it became obviously offensive and racist. Where the queue butters were from, what their origin was has nothing -- absolutely not one single thing -- to do with their rude behavior. When you choose -- and it is a CHOICE! -- to lump people together and assign particular behavioral or other than any obvious physical characteristics, it becomes a stereotype, a false umbrella judgment on an entire group for the action(s) of individuals. What this family did was indeed rude. How you "analyzed" it was racist. As far as the incident was concerned, did anyone in the line say anything to the owners of the store when they opened the doors about what this family had done? It would have worth a try.

Burping n farting, you could control the movement sometimes n they gave out disgusting smell. Hicup n sneezing are spontaneous n no disgusting smell out. Can you imagine in a lift, when someone burp n fart with disgusting smell. What would you do?

Hiccuping and sneezing can be caused by diseases (haven't you ever seen reports on TV about people who have had hiccups for years? Do you considered these hiccups are normal?)
Also, the thing you said. We can stop or at least reduce our tension to burp and fart in front of audience(!) if we want and try hard

OK do it once that's fine say sorry and either go to the loo next time or go home but did he do that?? NOOOO he kept farting and farting and to be honest i felt sick after...ultimately it ruined our night because i was actually sick! Although i wouldn't have minded if he had hiccuped uncontrollably rather than farting all night!
