like, for instance, I queried the world being made in six days, and Mr. Religious (and there are many) said that the bible was written in a different language and could have been mis-read; six of our days being six million in another language; or, the far-fetched stories of three loaves and five fishes etc., was really 2,000 for each.
If it doesn`t fit, make it, or alter it. Is religion based on make-believe. What do you think? No quotes, no insults, no proof?
And `FAITH` does not count, that is just a way of saying: "I cannot prove it but I believe it."

I said "No bible quotes" and you write a book on it.
A typical example of the standard intelligence of religious people who cannot understand simple questions, so how are they to understand the thousands of bible words.
They cannot help it.

Your answer is typical of the religious crowd, the bible say one thing, you and others say different things if it suits your purpose.
I do not blame you - or them - for that; you have been thoroughly brainwashed and it is difficult for you to get rid of the rubbish.
If I told you that two and two does NOT make four, but three and one do, you would even query that because you have been taught that 2 + 2 is the only way.

1. Religious people do not have facts, they have the scriptures or truth- which is a word based on faith.
2. they dont have to change the truth to suit thier arguments, the holy texts are so full of mistakes, contradictions and opposite difinitions, that is is posible to get almost any intrepretation from them.
3. And if they can not find the right truth in thier own book, they will often quote a non connon text, a heresay or just apply a bit of creative editing to make the truth fit.
4. finally if they discover a whole lot of gaps in the truth, they just insert the magic word 'god' and it is patched up.
Thus you can not evey know how long it took to create the world, because they were god's days, not mans. How on earth could he even mark the days, since God creates light and separates light from darkness, and day from night, on the first day. Yet he didn't make the light producing objects (the sun and the stars) until the fourth day (1:14-19). And how could there be "the evening and the morning" on the first day if there was no sun to mark them?
Plants are made on the third day before there was a sun to drive their photosynthetic processes (1:14-19). Notice, though, that God lets "the earth bring forth" the plants, rather than creating them directly. Maybe Genesis is not so anti-evolution after all.
I think that Gen 1:29 is the best however, : And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. "I

6 days. Wow. Ive never seen a tree, child, grass, or anything else get here in 6 days, but thats right it was all just magically placed here right? Nevermind what you witness daily thru mating and growth cycles . . . SORRY you said no insulting, you realize it's very hard, for both sides im sure.
They change the facts because deep down to them there is no other option aside from "god did it". Why is that tree there? God did it. Why is that guy a serial rapist? God did it. Why will channel 7 on my tv only come in in B&W? God did it. When you challenge that thought and even their precious bible doesnt have an explination (which, it shouldnt, it was written so long ago it is completely obsolete like every other "historical" document we have) they twist what they know into something they believe makes sense. And im sure they truely believe what they are saying, so they arent liars or anything, they are just so misinformed and backwards they dont know how to handle the possibility they could be mistaken on a "few" issues.

On the contrary Faith DOES count. Because "the just shall live by faith". I am a follower of Jesus Christ...however I do agree with you that "religious" people...and the key word is "religious" not true Christians; they do change the word of God to make it suit their argument. I have been in church's and have talked to people that will twist and rearrange the word of God to fit what they want to do or to excuse what they are doing or have already done. That is nothing more than hypocrisy. These people are not true Christians. Again concerning "faith" I am sure that there are things in this world that you have heard from either scientist or biologists about certain things being certain ways. Like is they say "the moon is made of this or the depth of the ocean is approximately this deep" you can't prove it but you are taking someone Else's word that what they said is true. That is faith. YOU can't prove it yet you believe it is true because someone else said it was. Just like the men of old that walked with Jesus said it was so and we believe it is true because someone else experienced it. Same thing...faith.

It just means there are a lot of Christians out there who have never researched this type of thing.
Being Christian does not mean you have all the answers to religious questions. Most of us cannot carry that much information around in our heads. The answer to many questions requires a knowledge of ancient Israel, Greek, Hebrew etc.
When people don't know...and this includes all believers and non-believers...they often will try to come up with the best sounding answer they can think of.
As far as creation goes...we know what the Bible says and we know the evidence for things being millions of years old. These things appear to be at odds...but cannot be. The Bible is not a science book, nor a history of the world. It is however, a history of the creation of man...a being with a soul, made in the image of God. That is the focus of Genesis. The Bible is about our relationship with God. The creation account has to be read with this understanding.

the same reason that a crowd of people can all be in the same place as a accident and everyone sees a different thing religion was made up so that the general population would feel better about dying , hence forth the concept of heaven, and there is proof that some of the stories in the bible are true but personally i think its just a collection of stories thats gone on to run rampant and change the world with "religious " rightetousness..

Religious people do not rise much on the Path of God. They only parrot read their holy book and spell it back like a parrot.
Though at one level one rises above level of mind. However at most levels everything is explainable.
Believe is whatever is spoon fed in the parrot mind. Its useless to believe in something, which doesnot give even a glimpse of that experience.
Faith could be in God, holy book, priests, people or anything. However faith improves the inner strength of person.

THIS DOES NOT ANSWER YOUR QUESTION. But here it goes anyway.
many of the people who CLAIM to be religious are as nontheistic as I am, they are just in denial. After all, it is really pretty picture to say everyone lives forever and all the bad guys get punished and all the good guys go to heaven, so people half-deliberately PRETEND to believe in it, even though they do not.
Case-in-point, let's look at Bill Clinton. Now, I like President Clinton, and I strongly wish he was still president.
He's very smart -- everyone knows how intelligent he is. If, as he claims, he is a religious Christian, then he believes he will go to Hell for eternity if he dies while committing repeated adultery. that's really bad, right? Why would a smart man take such a stupid chance? Look at Swaggert (or was it Roberts?) who had sex with the prostitute ("I have sinned against you my loooord"). I mean, how stupid would you have to be to risk eternity in Hell just to get your rocks off? Pretty darn!
Indeed, look at every so-called theist who sins (affairs, gambling, etc) on a regular basis. They say they believe, they say they fear hell, yet they behave as if they do not. Why?
My opinion: They are all faking it. Deep down, they are Atheists, each and every one of them. And, much like the sometimes violent reaction that a drug addict has when confronted with the reality of his addiction, they lash out at those who pose a threat to burst their fragile bubble of fantasy.
The bigotry against Atheists doesn't always come from religion -- it comes from the fear of reality creeping in the way of a pretty picture.
Look, I'm not much different. I wish I was immortal too. I wish all my grandparents were waiting for me in Heaven, and I wish all the bad guys in the world got punished, even if they don't get caught. I also wish the World Trade Center was still standing, AIDS and hunger didn't exist, and we were a world at total peace. Sorry, folks, wishing doesn't make it true. Maybe it's time to burst your own bubble

Religious people change the facts but religious books don't. It is problem of missing of original scripts revealed in original langauges. Translation from one language to another and personal desires changed the original scripts.
The Qur’an says… ‘the Heavens and the Earth were created in six days’. It is not the earthly days - It is ‘Ayyaam’. ‘Very long periods’ - which Scientists have got no objection.
6 days can also be 6 stages of long period.

The preponderance of the evidence for Christianity is authentic, it is available to all, and it consists of much, much more than people's opinions, or the bible.
But not everyone is a religious scholar, and not everyone has taken the time or gone to the trouble of tracing their beliefs back to the source, and verifying their authenticity.
As a result, you get lots of variations in beliefs, and not all of them are going to dovetail with the facts of the matter, or even with the related "mainstream" beliefs.
Anyone can "prove" the Christian faith, because there is a 2000 year old body of authentic history, tradition, and teachings that goes all the way back to Jesus Christ, and another body of similar material that goes from there, all the way back to the moment of creation.
If you're really curious, do the work yourself.
