PLEASE HELP!

My wife has become addicted to Yahoo Answers ... it started with 1 or 2 questions a day just to be sociable ... now it's getting out of hand ... she's on about 20 answers a day so far ...

Does anyone know of any 'help' groups she could attend to wean her out of this addiction? Alcoholics have AA etc ... is there any other method other than cold turkey?

Maybe there's patches available (like the ones you get for smoking)?

Please help ... it's her turn to make a cup of tea and she's just sat on the laptop answering questions!

You bet there is a patch for addicts but they are only given out to very rare people. It takes a year to qualify for a patch so guess you are stuck with her sitting on the laptop.

Well the first thing she needs to do is admit that she has a problem and her life has become unmangeable. The most important thing for yout is to support her as much as possible without allowing yourself to become co-dependent...

I would suggest to get her to join the Yahoo Anonymous for Conversationists that Know or otherwords (YACK) and then you need to think about joining Husbunds Upset with Sitting Honeys (HUSH). They offer good support and education, as well as provide a place of rest.

Good luck to you both! :-)

Just have her come back to yahoo answers, we will help her. This is all normal. Maybe making tea isn't her thing, perhaps you could try it?
Honestly though,. have her come see us as much as possible. We will do our best to help her.

ha ha quality, have you tried Net Nanny lol. wokrs wonders for keeping kids from accessing sites you dont want them to see.

Also, hide her plug for her laptop then she can only use it for like an hour until it runs out.

HI
FIRSTLY,YOUR WIFE MUST HAVE A DESIRE TO STOP USING THE COMPUTER.

SECONDLY THAT YOU ARE POWERLESS OVER HER COMULSIVE OBESSIVE BEHAVIOR.
THERE IS A GROUP CALLED ADDICTIONS ANONYMOUS IF SHE NEEDS HELP AND A DESIRE TO STOP.
