Why haven't he or any of his lawyers ever mentioned in their public comments that they apologize for the 6 years of abusing dogs? They never talk about all the terror and abuse inflicted on these domestic animals. Do you people find that horrid and reflects additional lack of sensitivity about this subject?

When you have a client that has done something obviously wrong, the best thing you can do is not talk about it and hope that eventually people will forget about the whole thing. Apologizing actually works against them because it keeps the subject matter fresh in people's minds, and quite often people view public apologies as being insincere. So if you say nothing and do nothing hopefully the outrage will eventually fade as the incident leaves the front page news.

I think he sees them as a tool or instrument for making money and entertaining, not as the loving pets they could have been so to apologize for this would make him out to be a worse human being than he already is. I don't think his lawyers want to do that.

As for the entire subject of Michael Vick, I think he should be locked up and the key thrown away. I don't believe any of his apologies, don't think he's sorry at all, unless he's sorry that he got caught. I wonder how he would like to experience some of the torture and abuse that those poor animals were put through? Maybe then he might understand the general outrage at his actions by so many people.

I agree that what he did was wrong, but I don't see it being any worse than a number of activities people do with animals. Hunting, the circus, bull fighting, and rodeos are all wrong also. I'm really curious why Vick's dog fighting is being treated like the worst offense to animals ever. Yes it was very wrong, and there it needs to come to an end, but so do these other "sports" and forms of "entertainment". People kill animals just to mount them on a wall. Animals are beaten and mistreated in order to train them to do little tricks for profit and amusement. Is that not wrong also? Groups like PETA bother me too. All the funds they raise for animals, and there are children in this country that are going hungry. Homeless people all over, but they're more concerned with the treatment of animals. Maybe if they helped get some of the nation's homeless on their feet, they'd have more soldiers in the fight to protect animals. There needs to be groups like PETA, but you would think that uplifting people would be more of a priority.

I agree that the whole process was SICK but seriously why are more actions being taken with dogs when the same happened to Blacks and Native Americans? No one has apologized yet. People expect us to easily get over it. The same thing happens to a dog (I Love Dogs) and the whole nation is pi$$ed and demanding for apologizies and etc. This just proves Americans care about their dogs more than us.

You will not get an apology out of a sociopath which I think you have to be to do the things he has done. He has no conscious for hurting animals or people in my opinion. A scary person he is.

well, i mean for hundreds of years of slavery that included severe abuse, rape and psychological corruption, what type of apology did blacks get? And you want Vick to apologize, not to dogkind, but to mankind? Are you kidding me? He did nothing to men. His abuse was on dogs.

Or maybe he should just get the same punishment whites got for slavery and he can just play football tomorrow and we can sweep dogfighting under the rug and tell people to just get over it when they say something about it.

Because they are his lawyers. It is their job to deflect all the attention away from all the negative crap and stuff that may remind people of all the stuff he did in relation to the charges and the crime.

He's not sorry it happened. He did it for SIX years, he enjoyed it.

**Hate to break this to ya, super c, but slaves weren't mistreated the way you'd like to think. Most were treated very well, considering. I don't say slavery is right, but I DO say that people like you don't help by keeping that whole "white man bad" crap going.
