I have a pug, she got her shots once with the breeders and once with me when she was 4 months old. She's 8 months old, does she need shots anymore or is it just better to get them?

I get the shots done at the vets just in case I ever have to prove they were given.

What happened to the third shot and the rabies vaccine? Dogs are vaccinated at 8, 12 and 16 weeks old. At 16 weeks they also receive a rabies vaccine. If she has not had the full series she is not fully vaccinated and could contract Parvo. She may also contact rabies if not vaccinated. At four months she should have received four shots in total and deworming.

She will then need boosters every year starting one year after the last series. Rabies vaccines are given every three years.

Depending on how old she was with the previous ones, she should be ok. Was the second round given after 16 weeks? If not was the first round given after 8 weeks? The main thing is that the dog was old enough to have a good immune response when the vaccines were given.

Yes she does. She must complete her initial cycle (I don't know if 2 shots are enough, consult your vet about this), and then repeat a shot every year. Otherwise she is not protected.

dogs should get shots every 1-2 years i believe... to be on the safe side, thats the safest you can go mate without harming her.

She won't need any more jabs now until a year after her 2nd jab-this will be a booster and she needs them every year.
