First off..."the Mormon church" is actually called The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Somewhere close to 13 million! (12,868,606 to be exact). And I am proud to be one of them!

As a Catholic, I have met many nice Mormon people. As a child, I heard the lovely Mormon Tabernacle Choir on the radio during the holidays. Please add details to this so that others can understand the depth of your question.

First, there is no such thing as "the Mormon church". We are the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints
Second, when you say "true", what do you mean?
I believe that the Church of JESUS CHIRST of Latter-day Saints is the RESTORED church o Jesus Chist.
