If you want a dog, why didn't you go to a bona-fide breeder or a rescue centre near you - at least that way you could actually SEE the animals before you part with cash ! ! !

I totally agree with what the other posters have told you - but I also wonder why you had to post on gumtree?

There are dog shelters filled with the most gorgeous dogs, just dreaming of a good home! I have always found that the staff of the shelters will point you in the right direction if you have specific requirements for a dog (short hair, placid nature etc), and the dogs are likely to have had their shots and be checked out health-wise!

Save a life - visit your nearest dog shelter and see where the money in your pocket is being used!!

SCAM SCAM SCAM.
I own and breed this wonderful breed and it is a scam 100%.
Please go to www.bulldogrescue.co.uk to read the scams and warning.

You can not import a puppy into this country even from France) as they need passports to come in and this takes 6+ months to do.

It is 100 scam.

I had 1 man ring me over the weekend looking for a pup,he had sadly fell for this scam (the scammers had even set up a webcam so he could see "HIS" pup,he sent £1000 via moneygram and got ripped off big time.

Please if you want a bulldog go to a UK bulldog breeder and see the pup before parting with any money at all.

Money gram is a notorious means of payment frequently used by scammers, and it is likely that this "charity" account belongs to him. Additionally, a charity operating within Africa rather than being a charity working for Africa in your country would make it more difficult for you to find out what happened to your money. Decline the offer, probably a trickster.

NOT ONLY IS IT A SCAM but, one of the oldest ones around. There is no dog and you wont get your money back. DO NOT FALL FOR IT! If you could get Bull dogs for 200 dollars don't you think everyone would be buying them up. Yeah, I can just see these dogs many with breathing difficulties being in Africa.

honey this is a scam, usually the only time good breeders ask for money upfront is when you have seen the dog you want, and want to pay by cheque, and this is to make sure the cheque clears before you pick up the dog, some ask for a small deposit but never before you have seen the dog, so don't send any money if he wants to donate money to charity then let him do this himself.

It's a scam without a doubt. Don't touch it. Why don't you go to an animal shelter or animal charity to get a dog?

Its definitely a scam so just ignore the moron whoever sent you this. Never do things like this. You need to go and see a dog first in person and then pay in cash.

If he is asking you to transfer the money before handing over the dog I would say it is a scam. Just tell him that you will pay him all the cash in hand and he can transfer the money himself. If he refuses then it is obviosly a scam!!

how so they know you sent the money and I can almost 99% sure it's a scam.
Get proof of the dog such as a paper witht eh date next to the dog.
You do realize they charge you to send a moneygram and some areas you can't send money to and tehy need extra info when sent to africa
If authorities find out you can be traced to teh scam.
