If I weren't a Christian, and read what you just posted, there is no way I'd ever be compelled to study the bible. Scare tactics are not the way to show the path to knowledge. It is a way to keep people away from the truth. God is love, and doesn't condemn his children. His only penalty for our atrocious acts is death. Nothing more. Humans torture, and it is from the minds of humans that the notion of hell sprang up. If you study the bible, then please do so in more depth to see that when the Book mentions She ohl and Hades it is referring to the 'common grave of mankind'.

I’m petrified… by all the misconceptions and malicious attributes you people apply on God…Get real… if you don’t understand the pure essence of God don't take His name in your disrespectful mouths in vain… There is no such thing as hell just different planes of existence and consciousness.. that’s all…

Listen, why an all LOVING GOD WOULD BURN HIS CHILDREN FOREVER AND EVER? WHY? FOR NON BELIEF?
Number one, you cannot choose to believe in something, either you believe either you don't ,there is no choice in belief! So a God that would send people to be tortured becasue they did not believe in a particular religion, is just INSANITY!
Second, I am not scared of man made MYTHS.
WAKE UP FROM YOUR CULT!

I have studied...and the bible is BS. Pure and simple. Front to back no more credible than Greek mythology. So your "scare" tactics might work on the simple minded. But I can assure you, they mean as much to me as a fear of Santa not bringing me presents this year.

The problem in studying the bible is that it tells us in one part not to kill, while in another part god is ordering people to be killed or doing it himself. Do you not see a problem trying to harmonize this book?

If people follow a religion just because of fear they do not truely believe. There must be understanding and acceptance.

They should be scared of God, not your scare tactics.

God is not only loving and caring, but also fierce and terribly holy. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.

I don't think that you should turn to God because you are scared of Hell. Rather, I think that you should turn to God in appreciation for what He did for you so you don't have to go there.

TIANRUI:
Saying I don't believe in Hell is like jumping off a tall building because you don't believe in gravity.
