Hell would be a children's birthday party at Chuck-E-Cheese. Pointless videos featuring people in animal costumes played at eardrum splitting decibel levels, hordes of screaming kids running amok, mediocre pizza served cold, busted toilets, endless lines waiting to cash in tickets for useless prizes, and - worst of all - NO BEER!
Second runner up? Having to attend my ex's Assembly of God church (almost as bad as Chuck-E-Cheese, but no cardboard pizza to choke down).

hell can be a lot of things for different people as such if you are jewish there is no hell so therefore by the christians way of beleiving or for most religions for that matter if you dont blieve in that jesus died on the cross for your sins and renounce penance because everyone is born with sin and renounce he is the lord and savior you will not get into heaven in other words be born again. but the person responding was brought up catholic i the 70s and converted to judaeism in the lare 80s and do i believe there is ahell yes i do even though i converted faiths go figure

Punishment for the people that are fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars,
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever
Revelation 20:10
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Revelation 21:8

Hell is the LITERAL fire and brimstone and knashing of teeth for all those unbelievers who do not worship as I do. Hell physically, literally exists in the middle of the Earth, with Satan and his minions torturing poor lost unsaved non-Fundamentalist Christian souls. Especially the Cathylicks. Hallelujah!
Just kidding, just kidding!!! I felt like having some fun! :^D
What the hell is hell? Hell is complete separation from God. More specifically, it is a remoteness from God, something that we choose. Heaven is closeness to God, also something we choose.

Hell is a scare tactic, made to force people to follow without question. It is also an invention to provide peace of mind for a divine retribution, so the idea is not all bad I suppose.

I believe "hell" is referred to in at least two ways. First, it is another name for spirit prison, a temporary place in the postmortal world for those who died without a knowledge of the truth or those who were disobedient in mortality. Second, it is the permanent location of Satan and his followers and the sons of perdition, who are not redeemed by the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
Spirit prison is a temporary state in which spirits will be taught the gospel and have the opportunity to repent.
Those who are not redeemed by the Atonement are in outer darkness, which is the dwelling place of the devil, his angels, and the sons of perdition. Sons of perdition are those who receive "no forgiveness in this world nor in the world to come—having denied the Holy Spirit after having received it, and having denied the Only Begotten Son of the Father, having crucified him unto themselves and put him to an open shame." Such individuals will not inherit a place in any kingdom of glory; for them the conditions of hell remain.

Hell is a metaphor for worst possible situation, event, place, or state of mind conceivable. For example, War is Hell. It serves its purpose at least in creating a word for the most extreme on the unenjoyable spectrum.

When the King James Version of the Bible was written, they introduced the word 'hell'. In those days, 'hell' meant a simple hole in the ground, a grave.

I don't mean it to be anything other than the reality of what it is as stated in God's Word.Yes,fire and brimstone and eternal torment.Ultimately, all the inhabitants will be tossed into the Lake of Fire which is prepared for the Devil and his angels/demons.
