Including the planets in our solar system. What's the purpose of these planets going around the Sun? I'm looking for answers especially from people who believe in religion.

God did not create the universe. He created Earth and all the creatures that inhabit it.

...first... consider kicking "religion" to the curb... Religion is "mans" attempt to reach and understand God... God was smart enough to know that "we" could never do that... So, He simplified the "Way" to understand Him... The Universe in it's vastness is beyond "our" understanding... our small solar system is not a good measure of the Billions of Galaxy's that God has created... If I were a "betting" person, I'd say the "odds" in favor of "life" (out there) are very very good...
Just because "we" don't see it, or know it, doesn't mean "it's" not there... kinda-sorta like... "we" know more about the surface of the Moon then we do about the bottom of the Oceans on this Planet... But stay away from "religion"...They will have you jumping thru "hoops", waving "smoke", "ringing bells", "chanting to dead people", "lighting candles" and "whispering to old-men in dark booths" who think that "they" can save you... it's all ridiculous and anti- Scriptural... Reads the Scriptures, not the dogmas and doctrines of the "religious"... What "religion" is God anyhow...? (you will know the Truth and the Truth will make you free).

How do you know that there is no life on other planets? You want answers from people who only care about superstitions. You will never learn anything by being a bigot.

good question. maybe there is some kind of life on all the planets. maybe not- maybe they're just there, just like cockroaches are just here- what's their purpose?

maybe they'll be inhabited someday. the planets that is, not the cockroaches.

But we don't know that they aren't. They might be inhabited with living beings. Do you really believe we are alone here? To quote Carl Sagan who believe or not was an atheist, to believe we are all alone here, well it would be an awful waste of space.

For starters "God" didn't create the Universe...
There are more "alien races" in our universe than you could possible write a figure on paper....

Maybe he ran out of ideas. Guess if he exists, even he would have a finite imagination,
