I had that dream 2 weeks ago and it freaked me out because everything else in the dream was literal and 100% true. And the last and only previous time I dreamt that I was pregnant. Luckily that turned out not to be true. I don't really know what it means in a figurative sense because I've never experienced that. Maybe you're right about gaining something new in life. It seems like a reasonable interpretation.

Being pregnant in a dream represents that their are some ideas, thoughts, plans, concepts which you are carrying about in your heart or mind, which you have an expectancy to give birth to. It also works for negative things as well. If you think negative things will happen all the time, then you will eventually give birth to something bad. But it works for the good as well also.

All i no about dreams like that is that sometimes when you are pregnant and you dream about death, then it means new life so not to freak you out but it could mean someone might die.

Giving birth means a new life about to begin. You dreaming you are pregnant means you have a desire to change your life for the better !!! When you dream about death it means someone you are close to will give birth !!!!!

I think it just means your after something more in life ,it could literally mean a child , i have had these dreams too and woken up rather disappointed in the morning. :-/
