The USA has been doing this since the Iranian revolution, and Iran probably cannot stop it in the near future.

It was the USA that encouraged and armed Saddam for the the eight year war against Iran. (and the US taxpayer paid for the artillery ammunition factory that made all the shells now being used in roadside bombs).

The US is using rhetoric about the nuclear non-proliferation treaty -but the US is in flagrant breach of this treaty itself - under the treaty its supposed to disarm its nuclear arsenal - not add to it.

The treaty also guarantees Iran the right to peaceful use of nuclear technology - and there's no evidence they're doing anything else.

Now it likes like the idiot Bush is going to start another war - without finishing either of the first two. Americans will be paying in blood and treasure for this nutter's aggression for several generations - and that's if it doesn't turn into a regional, or even global, conflict.

The USA would (will?) find Iran a very different opponent to Iraq - its rather better armed, but more importantly, its MUCH better motivated. Motivation is always the main determinant - its what enabled the Vietnamese and Cubans to beat the USA.

Give me a break! Did we engage Iran in an eight year war? No! It was the Ba'athist regime of Saddam Hussein. He is gone now and so is his regime.
Are we sending trained personnel into Iran to carry out offensive actions against their forces? No! But " Al Kudz" (the elite personnel of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard) have trained lots of personnel to enter Iraq and carry out offensive military actions against coalition forces and Iraqi security forces.
If anything, the U.S. has been exercising tremendous patience regarding the Iranian President's mistaken impression that he is the reincarnation of Cyrus the Great or Xerxes. He should be grateful that the Arab League hasn't already put an end to his foolishness. The U.S. should be the least of his concerns.

Don't think so.
They were only there for Iraq.
Not to mess up others.
But to save the women and children in Iraq.
They were not even aware of what went wrong out there.
Until everyone were all at loss and blurr on what went wrong out there.
Luke 24 47-49
They were out there to solve the mess that was created back in the past being expose with time after the mystery of us-911.
They were not even after the oil.
But for the good of mankind in saving all the little ones out there on planet earth.

Power corrupts
US power is corrupted
When a country is forced by power to the will of a stronger nation, it will be temporary, until eroded by the people of that country.
This is what creates terrorists!
Treat people fairly and the people will overthrow their own government
In the long run, good will always prevail despite the actions of countries like the US

I have to ask. And as funny as the answer might be, just what did you think Iran was going to do about it?
