Why do we have wisdom teeth if they can't even grow right and needs to be pulled out? Do you have all 4 wisdom teeth in your mouth right now?

Not sure how true it is but I read that a long time ago people needed the extra teeth to be able to bite through and chew their wild dinner and that now evolution has changed peoples mouths and they dont have room for the extra teeth a lot of the time so they kinda get in the way and grow funny. I asked the same question when I had to have mine pulled. Gah.

Hey, welcome to the theory of evolution. Our mouths are growing smaller. Eons ago our jaws were a lot bigger and there was room for these teeth. We are actually evolving to not even have them and guess what..... some folks already are there on one or more wisdom teeth. When that finally happens then the 12 year molars will become impacted. If you could see us in a million years we'll be looking lots different mouthwise.
