On my old r32 the white lights where reverse whilst the red was for fog although fitted after left Japan as there not stock.

On my new R33 the white lights below the round lights are indicators with reverse lights and a fog light fitted below the bumper.

So iam guessing it will be the same on all of them.

The clear lens is a reverse lens. The red/amber is also a reverse light, just one that many Japanese engineers think are more easy on the eyes for those approaching the car from the rear (when it is parking) and pass on the right. (remember what side of the road we drive on in Japan).

Anyway most custom cars go clear on both.

For those who want to see the lights the Asker spoke of more clearly:

the red comes on when it sees a real performance car it lets you know it is scared...the white is a indicator for when the rice is burning....
