He will be discharged, what they call EPTS (Existed Prior to Service). If they think he can keep on going, they'll let him train on, but its doubtful. They actually see this more than you can imagine, but did his recruiter tell him to lie, or did he do it all on his own. If they still don't know that this was something that happened before, he needs to be quiet and not talk, then he could get into some trouble. Nothing too seriouse, but enough to make life suck for a couple months.

The surgery to stop the internal bleeding has now made it a case of being service connected. But, he will still be discharged. And, since his condition was made worse through his own gross misconduct (lying about it or withholding knowledge of it from his medical examiners), he will not be eligible for any disability compensation from the military. The Secretary of his military branch has no other option but to have him discharged without compensable disability. The character of his discharge will be be a general discharge under other than honorable conditions and he will not be permitted to enlist in another branch or re-enlist at some future date in the branch he is being discharged from.

oh boy.
He better just be happy with them paying for his surgery. Anything after that he's at their mercy.
If there's an investigation, and they find he outright lied, they may discharge him if it will be a persistant problem. If this is a one time fix they may let him stay in.
It also depends on what the recruiter forgot to ask him, this happens all the time. In that case, it's not his fault and he may or may not be discharged depending on if the condition is ongoing.
Honestly, with the military nowadays, if they can patch him up, they'll keep him and get their money's worth outta him.

he will be discharged with a RE code of either 3 or 4, which means he will NEVER get back in. He committed Fraudulent Enlistment, he LIED on a federal Document. No Branch wants anyone who willfully misleads or omits information that could be the cause of his own injury or death, or worse, someone else's.

It depends if the condition was diagnosed by a doctor or not. If he thought he might be sick but if it was never diagnosed by a doctor, then he shouldnt, because your cousin is not a doctor. If it is foramlly diagnosed, yep he can get in some trouble. If it is ersious enough he will get discahrged but after he gets discahrged he can upbrade it to a general after some time if he gets out.

Well he will have to pay the medical bill, he will also face charges for not declaring his health condition.
He will have to live with the shame of his crime for the rest of his life, knowing that the time and money wasted upon him could have been used on a real hero.

But you can visit him in the stockade.
