Sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your braces. If the pain persists, I would contact your ortodontist. Meanwhile in order to keep your nutrient intake up, try a childrens chewable vitamin like flintstones. These will dissolve in your mouth if you suck on them long enough. (Be warned, they probably wont taste as good as they would if had you chewed them.)
Mashed up banannas, mashed potatoes, rice and soft veggies like green beans might be an option if you can tolerate them. Try using the roof of your mouth and your tongue to soften them up before you swallow. Good luck. I hope you feel better soon.

If you just got the braces, try to relax, because it will not always be that painful. Or at least, it shouldn't be. Until then you can have boiled vegetables that are soft. Carrots, potatoes (I like them mashed). If this doesn't help, you can always try the meal replacement drinks that are available at the grocery store. There are different flavours and types.

Just jump in and try one of one kind and then try another. You will like one or two over another, so don't give up, just keep trying.

You should also ask the orthodontist what you can take for the pain. He will be able to tell you what would work best.

Good luck

Either this is temporary and you'll just have to stick it out or there is something wrong with your braces and if the orthodontist says there isn't I would get a second opinion.
If it's temporary-you can put ANYTHING into the blender-I used to have a friend who fed her 18 month old the same things she ate, she just made sure there wasn't any gristle or fibers and blended it up into mush-they do the same thing for patients who have no teeth or trouble swallowing.
