no. It shows them you are interested in them. Don't stare and smile like you just thought what it would be like to take his head off with a spoon though, that would be creepy.

Depends on what kind of smile. If its one that says Hi I'm going to rip your eyes out then yes. If its one that says Hello and that's all then no.
