One can find ineer peace even without believing in any mythical entity, but that requires a high level of perception which for a normal person is hard to achieve. Also if belief in an entity howsoever mythical or imagined helps one to achieve a little peace by recognizing and relating to it, I dont see anything wrong in it. In fact its better to believe in something than to get frustrated over finding it within.

As it is all thats outside is within, and all thats within is manifested outside too.

So at the end all that matters is, is one at peace?

What if that "mythical entity" lives within me? What if that inner peace is the knowledge of a greater power?

i guess some people think you can only find inner peace through a mythical entity

I don't consider blood and guts to be peaceful. Mythical entities on the other hand are peaceful because they don't exist.

Because Jesus is the Peace within and If He wasn't there I would be a very selfish individual. And I'd be one screwed up person with the issues of my past hurts and let downs.

It is good to find peace within yourself, but some people can't find it there. I can't! I mean I am not so strong and self-sufficient like that. I need some extra up-lift, some good energy that comes from the unknown, because I believe there is something else. Besides, I need to know more, I question, I doubt and I seek, that means that my soul or something in me NEEDS something else, that maybe you (your soul) don't need, because we are in different levels of spiritually, and that alone puts us in different paths, not meaning that anyone of us is wrong.

Peace!

God is Jesus and within ourselves. He isn't mythical and he is very real, in every object, person, and animal. There is no such thing as true inner peace with out confilct unless there is God.

Because the entity isn't mythical and I can't give myself, earn, salvation and everlasting life in Heaven.

Being Benedictine, finding that inner and exterior silence and peace is part of believing and conversing with God on a continual basis.

In His love,
