You are bounding God by time which he is not bound by. God knows the future because he has already been there just like he is here right now and just as he was in the past all at the same time. Free will exists regardless of if God knows what is going to happen.

Yes, man is still free do as he pleases even though God knows the future. He only knows what kind of choices you are going to make but he cannot or will not force you to make those choices.

The few answers I've seen posted above are special. "Just because God knows what choices you are going to make doesn't mean you don't have free will"

Well I hate to break it to you folks, but that means God knew who was going to hell and who wasn't long before he decided to create your sorry asses, so by simply creating the hellbound he condemned them to hell. Like it or lump it. Of course that doesn't disprove the existence of God. Why not just come out and admit that the God you believe in is an a$$Hole? Oh right, you're not allowed to. I'll do it for you. Fortunately for the rest of us we don't have to entertain the idea since there is zero reason to believe in any God.

Well, you will be told that even though god knows what you will choose, you still choose it.
However, god knew what you would choose before you were created, so it's really fudging things to say that he didn't predestine you to do what you do by creating you. And some churches do believe in predestination.
I would like to ask a question of my own. If god knows what we will do before we do it, even though we are still "freely" choosing, why couldn't he have created us with sufficient understanding, sufficient reasoning power, to always freely choose correctly? Looks as though god really doesn't want us to be very smart where religion is concerned.

You are at the doorstep of the heavenly kingdom and if you step in you will be an enlighten person, just a step away. Will you turn around and walk away where many have tried so hard even sacrifice their whole family to be in the place you are standing?

This is what the great Zen Master is trying to tell to the spiritual seekers and you got it by just posting this provoking question. Either you are bless or you were like playing the snake and ladder board game where your turn you throw which it landed at the upward ladder spot.

God "lived" the entire human race in His infinite mind before He created us. He doesnt make our choices, He just foreknows what they will be. So what is the future for us is actually the past for Him.

He's wonderful like that!

Have you ever known someone so well that you could predict what they would do or say before they actually did it?
Even though you know they'll do it, it's not as if you're actually forcing them to do it. It's the same with God, he knows the future because he knows each of us better than we know ourselves, so he knows what you'll do; he's not forcing you to do it.

When Christians speak of "free will" if you will, we mean that God will never "make" anyone do anything. He is All-Knowing, but God does not ever force His will on anyone.

Free will and knowing the future, are not connected, yes, God knows what we will do and what consequences our actions will bring, so he lovingly warns us what we should not do but he does not force us to do or not to do so we have our free will

simple. God knows, God doesn't dictate. God knows where you'll end up, however, that's still based on you. knowing and direct involvement are different. God's not making me type this, though He knew I would.

say if you somehow knew the future. you knew boy X was going to be hit by Mrs. Y's car and you were gunna try and save him but failed. wouldn't you still try to save him?
