Maybe your question is a bit misleading, perhaps you mean which branch of the service has the best Elite team.

The Army has the Rangers (Special Forces)
and the Navy has the Seals
The Marines just call theirs Recon

Each of these specialized teams are different in a lot of ways, you should consider it an honor to measure up and be accepted in any of these.

When I enlisted in the Army in 1966, I really wanted to be a Ranger. My biggest problem was that I was only 5 foot 2 inches and weighed 115 pounds. The Sargent called me to
Scrawny and to light weight for paratroopers so I decided to go in as a radio repairman.

First off, I believe you mean which MILITARY branch. The Army does not have branches. If you mean in the Army, the whole point of what I'm about to write is useless.

The Navy.

The Navy SEALs are the most elite military personnel and combat forces in the WORLD. They receive the most extensive and specialized training any military has to offer. They can be inserted and extracted from the SEa, the Air, and the Land, thus their name, the Navy SEALs. They are quiet and deadly, and they go in and get the job done. There has been less that 12,000 of them in the history of the United States Military, because they are so elite. This proves that just any random Joe can't become a Navy SEAL.

There are several stories on the news that show how elite and amazing the SEALs are. A few months ago I read a really amazing story about 4 SEALs ambushed by 80 + Afghani Terrorists, but I can't seem to find it...Anyway, 3/4 of the SEALs were killed, but they put up a hell of a fight. I don't remember exactly, but they killed and wounded a LOT of the Afghani's before they died.

In conclusion, I'm not trying to put down any other special forces; they're all exceptional. But the Navy SEALs are #1.

I'm not quite following your question. The army doesn't have branches. The military have branches. Each military branch have a different Special Force.

SRT(Special Reaction Team) and many other Special Operations-Capable units of the Marines

Navy - SEALs

Combat Weather Teams

TACP's(Tactical Air Control Parties)

To me all of these units are the best at what they do. They all have a common goal which is to protect our country from terrorists and her enemies alike, all these units cooperate with each other in some form so they are all equal at best in my opinion.

I would say the British SAS. They were one of the first to be set up and are the best in the world( i think). There training is the toughest in the world and so there motto is TRAIN HARD, FIGHT EASY. They are also very secret about what they do, so that helps. Many countries look on the SAS for training because they are trained so well.

Well lets start with the us army they have the rangers and delta force.
Then you have the us marines.
And then the us navy one of my favourite's the seals the navy seals so when it come down to it there all good me my self like the navy seals.

Even with the elite of the elite, you have some people better tan others, so there really is no right answer. I think they are all on equal footing.
