Any Kick-azz weapons that are like a batarang?

Batman's batarangs kick-azz and I know they are suppose to be a combination of a boomerang and a shurikens. What other personal weapons are similar or could be used in a similar fashion?

Yeah, Xena the Warrior Princess' flying Chakram. And Dar the hero in the original Beastmaster movie starring Marc Singer also had his folding version of the batarang. Then there's Krull with his flying star thingy that looks like a protoype of Xena's Chakram, only Krull's weapon can be telekinetically controlled. And lets not forget the flying folding fans from numerous classic Kung Fu movies : P

While I don't know of any modern weapons that match your criteria, except maybe an expandable chain kama, there is one mythical Chinese weapon that is pretty darn close to your batarang. You need to watch this clip, seriously the weapon is unbelievable.
