do they hurt?

I found braces to hurt for the first few days... your teeth will be sensitive and your jaw will feel pretty sore. My advice would be to take some aspirin/ibuprofen the first few days, and try to eat softer foods (tortillas, soup, yogurt, etc) to dull the pain. I imagine getting the separators is very similar feeling to when you first got your braces put on.

Every time you get your braces/spacers tightened, and especially when they are removed, there will be some soreness. It's not nearly as painful as getting those wisdom teeth out, though, so don't worry too much =)

Maybe some mild pain for a few days, but not too bad. Anything that moves your teeth will hurt a little, but you probably know this from the braces. The wisdom teeth probably hurt much more than the spacers ever will.

IN ORDER (LOL):

got seperatrs for a few days..like 4 days i think..they made my teeth sore so i couldnt eat solid food for those days...but no PAIN PAIN just soore.

got four teeth puuled out...no pain again, i just cried cuz im paranoid of the needle and that neeedle honestly was scary looking, but surprisingly it wasnt thaat bad and painful..just LITERALLY A Pinch!

NOOOOW..im about to get braces (i have an exander on and SUPPOSEDLY it hurts more than the braces) so i f I could do the expander (and im the bigest wuss in the world) then the braces for the two of us SHULDNT be so bad! LoL.

Good luck! And keep ur head held high and ur attitude positive!! =)

no i have braces and all that jazz! they do not hurt. they are sore for like 4-5hrs after that is all the pain i had i was already eating chicken sandwhich after i got mine! use peroxyl and warm salt water to slosh in your mouth! that makes it feel alot better and your lips will get chapped so get some chap stick. hope that helps.

Not to much, the first couple of days it might feel weird but you get used to it, just like braces.

I heard they are annoying and cause little pain. But I have never had braces or anything like that myself.
