As long as it doesn't hurt, and you aren't cutting your lip on it, you can wait for an appointment.

Really depends on if its bothering you via pain or just being there. If its a tooth that is visible and everyone sees or one hidden... either way I would not wait long for it could cause more dental problems down the road, such as cutting lip tongue or cheek of mouth, even cause your other teeth to shift. Its best to try to make an appointment even if you get a temporary fix to it, that has to be better then walking around with one so badly chipped... in some cases depending on how bad its chipped they might just pull it out, of course hoping its not one that shows every time you go to talk lol.

Dont wait too long because it could be more than chipped. it could be cracked up to the root and could start developing an infection. It all depends on how it got chipped. see ur dentist :)
