Christians, Do they really hold the truth to life?

Question

I was raised by my Dad and Step Mom till recently, and they believed that anything that seems to oppose the Bible is false. I held their views for a while, what could I do? I was homeschooled. But anyways, I have lately begun to doubt their beliefs and question them. Is Christianity for real?

You can only answer that question for yourself and you will only be able to answer that question for yourself after you have read the Bible and prayed sincerely to our Father in Heaven about what is true and what he wants for you in your life. You should start any search with prayer. You should also keep an open mind, because the answers to your prayers may be "no" and they also may not be answered in a way that you might think.

Any answers will be for your good. Satan would like to see you fail in your attempt and will place doubts and stumbling blocks in your way. Just remember that our Father in Heaven will only provide answers that are for your good so that you can know when something is from God and when it's not.

Interesting...the question you ask leads me to believe there was something about your dad and step-mom's lives that didn't match up with what they taught you. What is true doesn't really depend on the actions of others...though their actions can certainly be a credit or discredit to the truth. For example, I may love my children to the point of dying for them if necessary. But suppose I come home from work and I am tired and spent and drained...they want me to take them to the park but I just want to eat and go to bed, so I do. Does that mean that if a fire breaks out later in the night that I would run outside and just hope that my kids wake up and find their way out too? One might ask about my willingness to do that based the fact that I wouldn't take them to the park for an hour. A legitmate question to be sure, but I would, nonetheless, save them or die trying.

I have been a Christian for over 20 years. I think it's right, but I don't know what your parents told you. There are a lot of funny ideas as to what Christianity is and isn't out there.

So run a few by me and I'll tell you what I think. You decide.

Christ is real. He says " I am the Way , the Truth , and the Life , no man comes to the Father except though Me. " Your parents are 100% right , don't let anyone on this forum tell you any different. There is a great war going on between God and Satan, Satan knows his time is short on this earth and is trying to bring anyone he can with him.. Don't fall into his lies. If you don't feel Christ in your life try calling on HIs name , ask Him to wash you with His precious blood , and talk to Him and ask Him for guideance. He will reveal Himself to you .

Trust me, all "truth" is relative. Anyone who tries to tell you they have the absolute truth is a con artist.
