I don't have any children of my own, but my husband and I have several young friends (young adults) whom we've "adopted" just because we like them so much and feel parental toward them. Interestingly, all the males are gay. They are so fun, loving, caring, and just great people. I'd say the fact that we chose them after they were grown up and we knew they were gay when we met them, we'd probably not have had a problem if a natural child of our own had been gay. I'd want my child to be happy, fulfilled, and living life to the fullest. Our gays "sons" live life with such gusto.

My child is my child, no matter what.
And, just like any other temptation, I would pray that they first resist the temptation and not sin. Secondly, I would pray that if they do fall into sin, they come to their senses and seek God.
But, that goes for all sin, not just sins of immorality. And one does not need to be gay or lesbian or bisexual to commit a sin of immorality. The heterosexuals are doing a pretty good job of doing that, too.

I would bring him/her up in the love and admonition of the Lord - same as if they were straight.
Man I know you have a spiritual battle on your hands. But you must ask yourself what you want most:
1- To indulge in a lifetime of debauchery and depravity and reap eternal death
2- To glorify God the Father in all aspects of your life and reap eternal life
Only YOU can make that decision. God bless you.
If you choose to live for God, He will bend over backwards to help you. Believe me, I know.

I would say "I know" and sit down and listen to them. That is what a parent should be best at "listening":. When my child was done speaking, that is the time that I say "I love you"

Well, I don't have a child just yet but if they were to tell me that.
I of course would most likely freak out about it as most parents would and then learn to accept it...

Buy them a cookie?... I'm a big fan of the idea of buying my offspring cookies, mainly because it gives me an excuse to buy them for myself as well... Is there any reason this would give me any reason to change how I acted at all?...

I would accept them, I know it is wrong, but they are my children. I am supposed to love every one no matter. So I would love my children no matter, and pray for them.
