I think its a vicious cycle fueled by negative people from both sides. I happen to be Atheist, and I could care less what other people believe. But I have seen other Atheists that will criticize others for believing. And the same with Christians trying to convert atheists.
I don't think religion has much to do with it, but more that some people lack respect and understanding. That goes for any person, Christian or Atheist.

What are you saying, "the atheist leaves us alone"? Are you living in the dark ages? Wearing blinders? Ears plugged? or what?
since when do atheists leave Christians alone?

AWWW...poor wittle atheist...can't handle it?
The poor wittle atheist's come into a forum called "Religion & Spirituality" and get upset when they actually see talk about *gasp* religion. What's next, go into a church and whine that someone was preaching to you?
What's the matter, run out of brilliant questions like "can God make a pizza so hot he himself can't eat it?"? Come on, people with I.Q.'s as high as the atheist's on here claim to have should be able to come up with better than that and then not whine when Christians stand up to them and call them on their ignorance.
Personally I like it when the atheist's are on here. Not only are they good for a laught, but hey, before yahoo atheist's I didn't have anybody to tell me what I apparently believe and don't believe in as a Christian.
My suggestion would be to stop your whining and move to another forum if Christians on a Religious forum bothers you.

Christians bother Atheists because they feel worthless in the eyes of God. This creates a self-esteem issue, and like kindergarten bullies, they make others feel bad to make themselves feel good.
However, don't make Atheists the only victims--as much as I may dislike some "followers" of Christianity, they've been attacked too.

quote: "Christians, how does it feel to be stupid? and Born Agains, how does it feel to double the record"
never bothered?
quote: "are there any people more pathetic than you Christians?"
never? are sure you wouldn't like to withdraw such claims?
quote: "suffering disproves there is a god"
you can even check the questions I've answered for verification if you like.

christians are suppose to spread the word of God. can't force people to believe in something they don't want to. but that is what god wants us as christians to do. so this is what i have to say about athiests, stop criticizing us.
