In several instances in the Bible, Paul tells us to "Greet one another with a Holy Kiss". A Holy Kiss is a friendly kiss on the cheek without any sexual tention. Very few people do this, it won't send you to hell if you don't do it but we are all identified with Christ, thus when we see our fellow brotheren (Whom we know) we should greet them with a "Praise the Lord" & a "Holy Kiss". I don't believe that christians should greet fellow christians with "wuz up", Im not judging nor am i saying that "wuz up" is evil but since we are identified with Christ, we represent him so when i see you i will say "Praise the Lord" also we shouldn't abbreviate saying "PTL", people around would look at you like you were crazy, lol. So when we say praise the Lord, we are identifying ourselves with Christ. God bless.

This is for Mature Christians, the ones who been saved for years. Not for babes in Christ, the ones who recently came to know christ.

Why do you consider me weird and ask me to chill out just because i quote scripture, i never said saying "Hi" was bad but im just saying that we are identified with Christ. Just because your other Christian friends don't do this doesn't make me wrong. I don't get why people like to argue with scripture.

Some Christians do kiss but nobody has too. I was just wondering what other think about it. Although it is sad that some won't do it because they think they are a stranger (Which they aren't) and because they don't want germs, why worry about germs. Isn't God your keeper and provider? Aren't they your brother and sister.

There are those throughout the years I have felt a kindred spirit with been able to kiss on the cheek. Something like what members of royalty do. (the best way I can explain it.)
Always a reverent, "holy" action.
Those who truly do not know the love of God will never understand there is no connection with love (agape) and lust.
Only the worldly minded cannot understand real love.
Love gives, Lust takes.
Oh how God would that men would praise Him and practice His Word with proper motives.

actually kiss for a christian greeting is a simple appreciation and a good indication of being close family in church, but for me a smile from the heart and a tight handshake will be most did to warm the fellow brotheren in Christ.,

I think you make some very valid points, but whether we greet each other with a kiss or a "wuz up" isn't as important as the intent of emotion meant in either gesture.

Saint Paul lived a long time ago in a very different country.
Some Latin countries will kiss on almost any occasion but in the UK, when Holy kisses were brought in, the churches emptied.

again, times, culture. a kiss was a symbol of familial or close friendship relations. your brother should be treated as just that: a brother.
ex: David and Jonathan, Judas betraying Christ

Wow... and I thought my religion was the "weird" one...
You need to chill out...
If you need to formalize saying "hi" with a little prayer, then you have a disorder or something...
And before you dismiss this remark as "anti-christian" you should know that you are a minority... I have NEVER seen any of my Christian friends act like that... it would be creepy.

I've always found that the best way to 'greet' a Christian is to run like hell.
