Jews believe Jesus was a good man but not the Son of God. I believe the Bible is correct in that Jesus is the Son of God who came to save the world. Jesus came to make a new covenant, Now when you get saved the Holy Spirit comes and lives in your heart. Now you have access to Jesus any time you want by just Praying to him instead of having to go to a Priest at the Church or Synagogue. If you would like to be saved simply say this Prayer and start on your journey as a Christian and a child of the Great King. Just say Dear Jesus, I confess to you that I am a sinner in need of a Saviour. I believe that you came to earth and died on a cross as a perfect sacrifice my sins and then rose from the grave the third day. I ask you to come into my heart and save me and make me a child of God, In Jesus name I Pray, Amen...If you will Pray this Prayer with a sincere heart you will be born again!!!! May God Bless YOU!!

Yes, he very likely suffered an excruciatingly painful death on the cross because he claimed to be "king of the Jews." That honor was bestowed by the Romans, not by claims from the riff raff.

Imagine someone today announcing that he is President of the USA. He wouldn't receive the death penalty, but he would definitely be barred from the White House!

Did you know that the streets of Jerusalem were lined with Jews rotting on crosses for their many infractions against the Romans? They used so many trees, they had to import trees from neighboring countries.

Jews must alleviate all suffering -- be it animal or human suffering. We are forbidden from eating any meat that hasn't been slaughtered in the most humane method possible. We do NOT see anything holy about suffering!

Jesus is New Testament. The Jewish faith is Old Testament. Jesus isn't a part of the Jewish faith - although he was, of course, a Jew himself.
To make a Christian comparison, it would be like Catholics believing in Martin Luther.

It was the Jewish scriptures which foretold the Messiah.
They said he would be a law-giver like a second Moses.
He was to be a descendent of David the King.
The second Isaiah referred to the 'suffering servant'.
But only a few Jewish believers accepted Jesus as Messiah.
They became a separate cult of Judaism & were driven out.

The Jews I have spoke with have told me Christianity is a type of paganism. They told me there is only one true God. If you worship more than one God that is paganism. Only instead of God they say G-d. Because the written name of God is holy and if written must be treated as holy. Jews I have spoken with hold Jesus in very low regard, and some in chat rooms have said very mean things about him. One Jew told a Christian once to run, because their savior was slipping off the cross.

But... Jews get mad when Gentiles decribe their religion... so ask them. I am sure you will get a much different answer.

Edit: Jews do believe there will be a messiah, but I think they believe he will be a king and the world will be in peace when he comes.

the Jewish scriptures contain the Old Testaments sections of the Bible... the old testament scriptures point towards Jesus' birth and ministry and eventual crucifixion, but they did not (and nor do they) acknowledge Him as THE Messiah.... they are sill looking forward to another Messiah. their "waiting" is based on the same scriptures that prophesied that Jesus Christ would be born and die, etc....

anyways, to answer your question, the answer is no.

they have faith in God - Jehovah, Yahweh, The Great I Am, but not in Jesus Christ... they treat Him more as a Rabbi who passed through the lives of the captured Israelites during the time of the Romans.

I'm sure some Jews believe Jesus existed and everyone suffers.

First of all, because everyone seems to forget:

JESUS WAS A JEW!!!

Jewish do believe in His existence, but not in His Divinity. Of course they believe in His suffering, who wouldn't suffer nailed to a cross after being beaten by the Romans!!

But they don't believe He resurrected and that He is God.

The Jewish people believe that Jesus was a Rabbi. Plain and simple. No Messiah, no son of G-d, no nothing. Nothing but a man.

Does this help?

Yshua bar-Ysef (Joshua [Jesus], son of Joseph) almost certainly existed. He was very possibly crucified.

However, beyond that, Jews do not acknowledge him as anything more, at best, than a misguided teacher.

I have heard ultra-Orthodox mention him and every time they refered to his name, they spit on the ground and added the epitath, "May his name be cursed and forgotten!"
