I like this question. I actually thought about it for a few minutes and my answer is this:
I think mankind is evolving. We are getting smarter all the time. There will always be those who are immature and ineducable but as a body we are growing in knowledge. To me this means that fact will replace fiction, science will explain our past and predict our future and kids will always be kids.

No, I do not think people with poor values or those with different values than us condemn the future of mankind. Often, God is not pleased with the choices, thoughts and actions people make. However, I believe things are the way they are for a reason, even if it is unknown to us. Also, I believe God is optimistic that human kind will find the right path and do the right things. Therefore, I am optimistic that the world is progressing appropriately. Perhaps it is similar to the proverbial two steps forward and one step back.
