You will have to ask you recruiter that. When I was on ship I found out that some jobs in the Navy hardly see a ship. I am a Marine and I have 2 years at see. On my last float There were 2 chiefs that had less time then me and been in longer.
I know aviation, boswansmate " however it is spelled",engine man, gunners mate and several others spend a lot of time at sea.
hope that was a little help to ya.

Fire control.. Basically almost everything in the Navy is for the ships. Fire Control is where you train for the electronic weapon systems on either the ships and subs. You'll mainly be on destroyers, but aircraft carriers also have them, and subs have them too.

If you're in the Navy, trust me, you'll travel. A LOT.

any of them EXCEPT the SeaBee ratings and the SpecWarfare ratings. Oh yeah and CTI is never PCS Afloat although they will deploy on ships/subs.

Certain Aviation ratings will also never be PCS Afloat as the planes they work on are land based only.
