Daughter.. nothing to be ashamed of.. this path led us to where we are now, no? I'd love to discuss Asatru with you sometime. I'm fascinated by it.

Asatru Pagan
You know we are just inviting the
"Even Satan knows verse" and
"Then you didn't read it right." responses right? LOL
edit: Oh sure! I'm interested in Celtic too. I have a nice healthy vien of Irish mixed in with my Germanic. :) I will put my first born on it that you know a heck of a lot more then me though. LOL

I have never sat down and read the Bible like a novel from cover to cover.
I have however read everything in it including the Catholic Deuterocanonical books not included in most protestant Bibles many many times, I wouldn't know how many, as I don't keep count :)
My faith? I am a Christian.

Reading Gods Word is not a contest, it is a privilege. Twice I have read Gods Word cover to cover, however, mostly I just read what I feel in my heart. Reading Gods Word like a dictionary is not what God intended. He gives us specific Words at specific times in our life. I find it best to seek Gods guidance before I study His Word. I ask Him what He wants me to read. If God wants to teach me about Creation and I choose to read Jonah, how will I understand what God is trying to teach me? I am a Born Again Christian and this is the way I choose to study Gods Word, by the leading of His Holy Spirit. God Bless You....Peace.

One time. Old testament through to the end of the new. I have read bits and pieces, of course, but that one time was enough for me. It taught me what I needed to know and now if I need to refer to something I do. To me it is a research tool, a guideline -- not something that should own me and direct my every move.
