Suppose there were ten identical balls differing only in color placed before humanity, and everyone was to choose only one of those balls. In making the decision friends and family encouraged one another to choose a specific ball. Finally, everyone has made their choice. Jesus there after comes soaring down through the clouds!
Jesus said, “All who chose the blue color ball come and stand on the left, and the rest of you on the right!” “All of you who stand on the left go to heaven, and those on the right go to hell!”
The ones on the right are infuriated and asks, “Why is that you send us to hell?”
Jesus replies, “I gave you the power of choice, so it is not I who send you to hell, it is you who send yourselves to hell through your own free-will!”

The ones going to hell then said, “What? How were we supposed to know which ball were the correct one? Our friends and family said that our respective color was the right one, and we therefore chose the respective color just like those who chose the blue ball! And some of us never got to see the blue ball so how could we have chosen it? ”
Jesus said, “I am God so I can do as I like!”
Explanation:
The 10 balls with different colors represent the different religions in the world. The reason they are all balls is that each religion is as authentic as their respective religions in each individual’s eyes differing only in content. Each person chooses their respective religion because they truly believe it is the truth. And their choice had been influenced by their environment.
Question:
Does it make sense to judge someone upon their beliefs instead of deeds?

Your bottom-line question is you're telling us not to judge people based on their beliefs? Isn't that making you a huge hypocrite considering you call ALL Christians stupid in one of your other questions?!

How wrong can you be? You assume that all ten balls are different because people say they are. The Bible tells us that all scripture is from God. The Koran tells us that all scripture is from God. The primary documentation of the two religions that the vast majority of all people belong to tell us all scripture is from God, then, why would you think there are any different balls?
From where I stand it looks more like a "beach ball" to me, with most people arguing over which color is best, and some atheists arguing that there is no ball or color. You would have to be blind not to see the ball, and stupid to argue over which color is best. Let God, whatever word you use to describe God, do the judging. You should go back to school and learn something about metaphors, logic and similes.

The assumption here is that people will be judged on choice. What if the issue is not choice, but truth? In your analagy, the question is not choose a ball, but which ball is blue. On that basis, our quest is to find the truth. I know the outcome is the same, in that we will all be judged on whether what we chose was the truth, but it is a little more meaningful than simply making a random choice. I personally are comfortable with the task of finding truth, not choosing a ball.

Amazingly, Matthew 25:31 begins a scenario much like the one you described. Jesus tells a story about God rounding everyone up at the end of time and separating them into the blessed and the damned. The criterion? Not what they believed or how much they preached, but how they treated people, particularly people they didn't think much of. Not quite what they tell you in church, eh?

No it's not fair to judge someone by their beliefs. I'm not very religious myself. I believe that there is something higher than myself, but not necessarily a Christian god. I choose to stick with that for now as I am only 22 and I think that you need to believe in yourself first before you can believe in religion. Who you are is important for decisions you need to make, spiritually comes when you know yourself.

Your hypothetical asks people to choose one of the balls completely at random, with absolutely no "clues" as to which one is the right one. Religion is not that way. God makes it perfectly clear in the Bible what you need to do to go to Heaven.

Ok so have you looked at the Bible lately you might want to do so before making yourself look like fool again Jesus left us with a clear instruction guide on which religion will lead us to heaven he didnt just leave us with no information at all. He loves you and wants to spend eternity with you so just see the light and we will move on shall we

I'm agnostic. I believe all truth is relative to its user. The only ball worth picking is the white rawhide with red stitches...go Dodgers.

As usual, no one's hypothesis is that simple. By making the balls identical you're presuming a moral equivalence that just doesn't exist. No one other than Jesus Christ gave his life for the sin of mankind. No one other than Jesus Christ was and is God in human form.

NO! But it's a silly example, because GOD is not so arbitrary.
GOD has made himself abundantly clear to all humanity.
Every religion represents man's attempt to understand & follow.
We will each be judged according to our responses.
Read the sheep & goats passage more closely.
People on both sides will be surprised at their outcomes.
YES, it will depend on how we responded to GODs demand:
"Love one another as I have loved you."
