Hey I've lived in New York state for 57 YEARS and there is NO WAY to predict what a NY winter will be like ESPECIALLY in September!!! Last year we had a surprisingly WARM winter---it was 60 Degrees in Mid December--which RARELY happens here...this year, we could have snow in October... THAT has also happened... best answer could be to just wait and see....

I would look it up in the Farmers almanac. It's usually pretty close to being right on target.
