Does the Catholic Church still frown upon unmarried couples living together? Thanks.

Couples cohabitating without benefit of any formal marriage,
are still considered to be 'living in sin', by the Church.
That means they should not present themselves for communion.

After some time, the state considers them to be common-law.
If they apply for a license, they become civilly married.
But the Church considers marriage to be a sacrament.
So their relationship still needs to be 'convalidated'.
This can be a simple ceremony of exchanging vows.

No, absolutely no - the Church has NOT changed it's stance on the immoral natire of cohabitation. This has always been and always will be the stance on cohabitation as far as teh Catholic Church is confirmed.
