A reflection of you.......For me, I am completely convinced of the existence of GOD, not because man has not answered questions, but partly because of some questions man has answered although most choose to ignore them.
Science teaches chaos, everything accidental being born from a chaotic explosions or coincidence, which is ridiculous. the truth is everything in existence in born in precise behavior and continues this behavior no matter what.
The smallest of elements are held together by particles being separated by spaces in anything but chaos, even if you change a liquid to a gas this behavior continues. From the smallest molecule to the largest galaxies without exception. Therefore everything that exist is bound by this precise behavior from beginning to end. Something, or someone is responsible, I refer to him as GOD.

The absence of god is proof that god doesn't exist.
The alleged counter argument - "Prove god doesn't exist." is the sign of a weak intellect that is unwilling to put in the effort to find answers. Theist make a claim then go sit on their lazy *** and tell someone else to do the work.
When a person or a party makes a claim about something, like the existence of god, evolution, gravity or the tooth fairy they are the ones that carry the "burden of proof".
In other words their argument that “Well prove god doesn't exist" is completely contrary to standards of the scientific method and general inquiry.
Let's say I make the claim that I can cure cancer. I bear the burden of proof. It is up to me to publish my findings and evidence so that the skeptics can evaluate my evidence and attempt to duplicate my results.
So, those that claim god does indeed exist are the ones that bear the burden of proof and have to provide to the world their findings and evidence.
It is up to us, the skeptic, to review this evidence and then report our own findings.

Well if you believe the bible (and I do not) god made an appearance last over 2,000 years ago and nobody has seen him since. You'd think he'd be a little more proactive than that so either he doesn't exists, never has existed, or he isn't much of a god. I tend to believe the idea of god was a creation of man from the start. Man created god in his image, not the other was around.

We believe by faith. We trust that what God ((and Jesus) me, as a Christian), told us - is true.
No one can be 'certain' of anything.
We believe by trust and by faith.
I cannot understand how one can believe that the universe 'created itself'. Nothing known has ever 'created itself', IMHO. There is always something greater involved.
I choose to believe that a God exists. I choose to believe that Jesus Christ did live and die for each and every one of us and that we can be forgiven for our sins through Him.
As I look outside, I see plants, animals, stars and planets. I see life, new and old. I see creatures that back away from man and woman alike. I see creatures who seek companionship with us.
Sorry, but I cannot believe that everything here and elsewhere, just happened.
There must be one who is greater.
IMHO,

Is that it..?
Is that you rationalisation of why your magic sky fairy is real..?
The gaps in our knowledge of the natural world shrink daily, and already the absurdity of your "god of the gaps" logic is abundantly clear.
Why didn't you ask: "With so many questions having been answered, how can anyone be certain of a creator existing..?"
You see, you have embraced a lack of knowledge, not the wealth of it..!
I think you should consider why you have chosen to do this..

Of course we can't be certain that there's no supernatural force beyond our current abilities to perceive. We can, however, eliminate the existence of any deity whose alleged documentation is faulty.

most of unanswered questions aren't actually god related. I don't believe in any gods, but i don't reject their possibility.
"Not to be absolutely certain is, I think, one of the essential things in rationality."

At this point, we don't have any evidence that really suggests the existence of god. If that changes, then I'll be open to new evidence.
