In the same way that the US military-;political machine needs 'terrorists' to frighten possibly dissident people into line, 'Christianity' discovered centuries ago that the creation of 'Satan' - whom only 'Christians' believe in :-) helped create terror and conformity.

Just people who prejudge everything.
So anything not familiar is automatically labled evil, any faith not similar to their (personal sect) is labled evil. Thus creating insane situations where one Xian sect can be labled "Satanic" by another Xian sect.

do you believe that Hitler existed? your reasoning skills are severely lacking here... you can learn about a lot of things and people without having personally experienced them. in fact, pretty much everything you learn in school you have to take on faith- it *could* all be a vast conspiracy, and all of the history and science and everything else you ever learned could be made up. i do not have to meet a mass murderer or be murdered by them to know that something is wrong with them- if i have learned of them from a trustworthy source, i can make educated decisions.

Evil exists. Evil has a source. Deny him and you embrace a conceit that has brought down those higher than you. Simply because he has not introduced himself (except by proxy when Jagger sand) and shook your hand, don't think what has been told is all fiction. The delusion rests with the one who is too sure she is above it all.

The name satan means black; he used to be called Lucifer;
when he was known as the angel of light in Heaven.
His activity is obvious everywhere; you give a good example.
His power of deception depends on him staying hidden.
Because when he becomes obvious, people will understand
not only that he exists; but they will believe in GOD.

With your reasoning, how do I know you exist? I don't. That's my point.
