Does anyone think that God cares if Joe Smith dipped his fingers in a bowl of water, or ate some crackers, or bent down and folded his hands together? Yeah, he paid for a prostitute last night - but he said 10 hail Mary's today...so he's ok. And Betty spread rumors about somebody being gay - but she didn't eat meat on Friday so she's a spiritual woman. And Joel cheated his neighbor out of 5 thousand dollars, but he wore a little beanie cap on the Sabbath.
Do we really think God cares about these idiotic rituals?
