It's a weird thing but some of us feel that religious people are judging what we do. Its like someone thinking that we are going to hell. It's very disturbing.
The crazier thing that I have also noticed is that many people, including myself, tend to be the ones judging the religious people. I think its something that both sides need to work on.

The first answer is the same one that this guy has put on other questions. This just goes to show why people like this party make fun of Christians and whatever other faiths they make fun of - they seem to have an ax to grind but won't say what it is. Personally I'm Catholic but that doesn't mean that I think other people's faiths are stupid and, even if I do, I certainly don't believe it's appropriate to belittle them. The fact is that I believe I'm in the right religion, this is why I stay, but that doesn't mean that I have to criticize non-Catholics or non-Christians. I have to admit that I can be very judgmental and I realize that this is something that I have to work on, however, I base my judgment's on the actions I see others take. For example, I see people driving their vehicles with every imaginable Christian sticker attached to their vehicle. Then I see them run lights, cut other drivers off, tailgate, etc.. My first instinct is to see them as hypocritical because this doesn't fall in line with what their stickers are proclaiming. You are not supposed to be a jerk when you're proclaiming Christ. Whether it be on the road or in any other situation. Oh well.
HuffyB: You shouldn't spread falsehoods. Christians are against embryonic stem cell use, not stem cells as a whole. There's a great difference between the two.

I believe the reason people "bash" anyone or anything....religion, race, gender, nationality, economic, social or political standing.....is because they themselves are insecure in what they are, believe, or pretend to be. Their anger and hatred comes from a mixed-up mind. Indifference indicates a mind that is decided....a mind that knows who it is and confident in what it believes, and people with such a mind let the rest of the world believe as it pleases.
It's also the typical "Napoleon Complex". They are the "little guy" on their block, so to make themselves look bigger, they try to make someone else look bad. Most "bashers" couldn't hold an intelligent conversation on the subject they are "bashing" if they were paid for it. They are uninformed, either by choice or by necessity, and you are right.....usually have too much time on their hands because they are not gainfully employed or otherwise occupied with something worthwhile. How does that old saying go.....an empty vessel makes the loudest noise? Probably quite a fitting representation.

I don't make fun of Christians!
I'm seriously concerned about them for a number of reasons.
The first reason is that most worship an idol called the Bible instead of God.
My second reason is that they have the numbers and the will to change the law into something sinister.
My third reason is that every time I hear them condemn another faith I realize how not Jesus they sound.
My fourth reason is I've heard way to many Christians say something similar to, "All those pansies that think Jesus is about love are going to Hell" do not know God and are further from God than those that believe in other religions or even nothing at all.
My fifth reason is that Christian ethics are getting in the way of medical progress from stem cells to medical marijuana.
My sixth reason is that Christians want to teach foolishness to my children in the public school system.
My seventh reason is that they are the largest religion on earth but Jesus told us the way to damnation was wide and the way to salvation was narrow and few would find it.
2Ti 3:5
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
This describes most of the Christian religion because Jesus taught us that God was within us and that we're children of God, but the Christian doesn't actually believe this they believe in Jesus more than Christ.
Seven is a good number to stop with but there is FAR more error to point out. I do so out of Godly love for you.

Many people don't understand that others must be respected. What I believe, may not be what the other person believes. In any event, I would never make fun of any person's faith or belief in God. The Bible states that one must not judge another. Only God has that right. Remember this, What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. Peace and God Bless.

They just like being jerks. My mom is a Christian. I'm an "in the closet' pagan and haven't told my mom and won't till I'm old enough to move out. They just like being mean. Unless someone's beliefs include murdering are harming others I will treat the persons beliefs fairly. A violent religion I will speak out agianst but Christianity doesn't fit that definition. Just ignore them. Maybe one day they will grow up. For all the people saying because they persecute. I'm sure there are people with your beliefs that act like loons and force it on others to. All you can do is be an example to the extremists and haters. Hold your head high no matter what they say!

A variety of reasons, not the least of which is the fact that, thanks to televangelists and vocal born-agains, Christianity has gained a reputation as a hypocritical and ignorant sort of religion. Very easy to make fun of.
Also, in a way, retaliation. I hardly like being told I'm going to hell for my beliefs.

Since prayer was taken out of school, things have gone to heck in a hand basket. Folk (in general) seem to think that the universe created itself. How silly!!!
Me thinks that we need to have respect for each others beliefs. After all, none of us truly knows the real truth.
Fortunately, it is good that many of us can believe what we will. Know that there are still many who cannot.
It is good to have belief in something other than ourselves or that things just happened.
Me thinks that folk make fun because they cannot understand folk who can.

Let's face it. No one likes to be wrong, and it is easier to say that everyone else is ignorant if they disagree with you on something.
It is easy to blame religion for world problems rather than work for a better world.
It is easier to redefine life to make laws and not have religions to stand in the way.
Intolerance is the problem, and the weakness of human nature that keeps people from seeking to understand others and to be compassionate.

Well, it is in scripture.
\We preach Jesus Christ, not only crucified, but risen from the dead. This is a stumbling block to the Jewish mind, and utter foolishness to the gentile. The secular religion of our age views resurrection as foolishness and by this definition is in the gentile mindset.
Take a look at 1 Corinthians, Chapter 1, verses 21-25
