First of all, this isnt a pro-atheist ignorant and biased piece of writing, I want to see peoples opinions on this matter so that i can come to a more reasonable conclusion.
For this subject i will choose christianity, Lets begin
1). God is not all loving: from the responses i have read to the question "god isnt all loving because of hell" it usually is along the lines of him/her being a holy god or punishing the evil, however, this is a black or white matter, he/she either is or isnt. there can be no buts or ifs to such a simple matter. Hell proves god isnt all loving.
2). Suffering disproves god: This famous statement, in my opinion is true. let me give you an extreme yet theortically true example.
We are all gods children right? lets say you had a child and a paedophile came in and started to molest him. You have the ability to not only stop it, but make everything perfect with a blink of your eye. but you dont, you watch it happen, is that morally wrong? Yes, it is.

To he who said that we are being punished for adam and eves sins:
Right because thats morally correct, i guess we are being punished for hitlers sins too
To he who said Buddha's anwser is that there is no god:
The only beliefs that can be correct both logically and laterally seem to be along the line with this, being that there is no god
To he who said you can prove religion scientifically:
Do you think this piece of writing is science? its logic, logic isnt science
To he who said "According to Christ that's not the way it is.--John5:22For the Father judgeth no man "
Ok but your assuming that christianity is true and therefore that the bible is 100% truth, And if he doesnt judge anyone whats judgement day? and why would sinners be judged? does the bible contradict itself?
To susan who said " if you turn from him then I believe that you reject him and you go to hell"
Isnt that arrogant for any one religion to assume that? that all others will go to hell?

Many anwsers seem to be that we created this mess, that we created our own reality
Ok, firstly "we" can never be accountable for I, it doesnt matter what the rest of my lineage did because I didnt, if I am being accounted for their actions then thats wrong. Secondly ALL he has to do is click his fingers and make EVERYTHING right, someone said he cant because this is our reality that we created and not his hence he cant interfere, but that makes little sense as then he would'nt be all powerful.
As for hell being morally correct, simply no. The bible states that stealing is a sin, and sins make you go to hell, a place where you are tortured FOREVER.
Prisons work around the idea of rehabilitation mixed with punishment, hell gives no chances, it has one thing in mind, vengence
One of the ultimate form of love is forgiveness, sending someone to hell is not forgiving them, if you were in hell im sure youd forgive the person in question anyway
Leaves more questions than anwsers

1. God is loving but He is also just!
2. As a just God He also let's us make our own decisions, and some people decide to be child molesters. Just like you decided not to be a Christian. If He decided for you don't you think He would rather you be a believer?
3. Giving us the choices that He does does affect each of our lives but alot of times all those bad things brings us back home to Him. Because I know it has me. I don't fear alot, because God is my Father and I trust Him. God never puts more on us than we can handle.
4. There is always going to be things that we don't understand that happen. But that doesn't disprove anything lol your funny buddy!
Here is a good analogy if you had a child a daddy is suppose to keep their child safe from harm and love his child unconditionally. But if your child does something wrong you punish them right? If you allowed your daughter at age 17 be home alone and someone broke in on her while you were at work and raped her does that mean that you don't exist or that you are a bad father,or that you don't love your children?? No

first off, you can't say religion doesn't exist. that in itself makes you seem small-minded. okay then, how would one classify Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism etc.?
secondly....
1) Hell is not somewhere you are sent because God hates you. yes it is a black and white matter. if God is Good, then He doesn't tolerate evil. a police officer who lets a criminal off isn't a good guy, correct? Hell is not a matter of love, but of fairness. and if you wish to bring love into this, would not a loving God avenge those who suffer? would not a loving God have gave Himself up so that you wouldn't have to go there?
2) we are not all God's children. that is completely unbiblical. Adam and Eve declared independance at the fall and were no longer God's children. you must be born back (like adoption) into God's family.
flip side. man apart from God is not under God's jurisdiction. you know How God feels about rules. or maybe you don't. well, it's why He had to die, it's why He had to become human, it's why He is judge not your buddy if you're unsaved. rules make for fairness, and a society without free will isn't fair, now is it.

I think God is so much more than the puppet master that religion makes him out to be. Suppose our suffering is our choice, in order to grow spiritually therefore God's hand isn't really on us. Example: Paris Hiltons of the world wouldn't appreciate a free Presidential suite the same as say a homeless person.
Governed bodies established religions. "If a man no longer fears another then surely he'll fear God." Hell is a scare tactic. The bible is a moral handbook from ancient times.

God is Love. He loves us so much that he doesn't follow Satan's plan which was to make us choose what is right giving us no freedom to prove ourselves in what we will and will not do. It is called the plan of happiness to have a choice and to be put to the test God cannot and will not stop us from making bad and wrong choices so that we will be subject to our own choices and the only person that can intervene is Jesus. He has paid for all the sins of the world and only through him can we wipe our slate clean. Of course there are sins such as Murder that cannot be erased. We are also allowed suffering so that we appreciate the opposite...Joy. There must needs be opposites in all things...

This is not a sound argument. Many spiritualists who believe in God and Jesus don't see it the same as the fundamentalists. . We feel man slipped into a life of illusion.. This is not the world God created for us. Man has created this mess. God has no control as this is not real. We are in a dream state and have been since a deep spiritual sleep fell upon Adam. Would you blame a child's parent when the child suffers during a nightmare? Of course not. God sent Jesus to try and awaken us, but to no avail.

1. This is not a black and white matter. No, nothing is on your terms, everything is on Gods terms. I have never claimed my God to be "All loving" on the contrary I would have you know this my God is dangerous.
2. Suffering, God suffered, he let men torture and kill his only begotten son Jesus to pay for the sins of all. God knows. God gave each of us free will, we choose, the pedophile chooses to do that God does not interfere with our free will. There are always consequences. You obviously know very little about God. God gives and God takes away and I get down on my knees and thank him for every moment for everything, life is precious.
Stop blaming God for the evil men do. If you don't believe in God then why are you here trying to disprove what you don't believe in?

1.) Hell does not prove God is not all loving. God can't be in the presence of sin period.
2.)Suffering does not disprove God. Suffering is punishment for sins we have committed, it goes all the way back to Adam and Eve. Bad things happen to good people, get over it. God will punish all sin in time and reward the good.

First of all, of course religion exists - there are hundreds of different religions in this world. Each religion believes and worships differently. It is extremely presumptuous to assume that everyone is monotheistic.
To address the statement that God is not all loving by involving the concept of hell. I (and many theologians) believe that hell is simply an absence of God. I imagine that when you die, you come face to face with Jesus and you either love him or you turn from him depending on your heart. If you love him then you go to heaven - if you turn from him then I believe that you reject him and you go to hell. I may be totally off base with this but this is how my limited mind has wrapped itself around the heaven and hell issue. God loves everyone - some folks don't love God and reject him.

You bring up a classic question, can God be both all-loving and omnipotent? In modern theology, most theologians choose to affirm that God is all-loving. Even people who insist God can be both all loving and omnipotent have to make the caveat that God is self-limiting. Some theologians have brought up the idea of God as a suffering God, especially in light of the Holocaust. I tend to agree with the idea that God is most present with those who suffer, and is a suffering God.
