My Aunt called my Mom, and she said someone is on my street knocking on doors with a gun and I'm here with my grandma and a pom and a poodle (dogs). I'm really afraid...and i don't know what to do. I'm thirteen. Please please answer!! My Aunt heard it on her scanner.

Chances are the police are already on the scene if it's on the scanner. Seeing how this question is an hour old, it's over with whatever happened. But for future reference, just don't open the door. Carry mace, and keep a pocket knife handy.

Well since this was 5 hrs ago...I figured I'd answer anyways. Lock all of your doors and windows and dont answer the door. If the guy knocks at your door, immediately call 911.

Lock the doors, windows, turn off the lights. Call a neighbor and tell them that you're there with your Grandma and her dog. If someone knocks on the door, don't answer it. Call the police!

Most of the time you can call 911 since you are on that street and wait and talk to the 911 operater untill the cops find him . Thats the best thing to do that way if something does happen you will already be online with them. But i hope everything is ok and you and your grandmother will be ok !

Don't answer the door. Since your aunt heard it on the scanner the police are already on their way. Sit tight and turn off your inside lights and turn on your outdoor lights.

Don't answer the Door make sure it is locked dont call 911 unless you know it is happening call the sheriffs office local number and ask them if the report is true

Well if it was on a scanner, they don't need to call the cops cuz they know. Anyway... just sit tight and secure and all that good stuff.

Haven't a clue where you are, but if you were here in this illmannered city where I live, calling authorities certainly wouldn't help. They suggest they have better things to do.

Lock the door and don't answer it. Go to the back of the house were you are not as likely to get hit by a stray bullet.
