I have had a nightmare every night this week and I wake up at 4 am every time. I am wide awake and have trouble getting back to sleep. How do you sleep?

Your nightmares are trying to tell you something!..what do you dream about? Try and spend time during the day to think about what might be troubling you.... I have trouble sleeping as well..... I wake up often during the night especially if i know i have alot to do the next day. Never seems to be enough time in a day for me!!

Yes, I have a big problem sleeping! It started out when I was only 5 years old. I had some awful nightmares and started sleepwalking, as well as sleeplessness. I have continued this pattern even though the Dr has given me meds. I sleep only about 4 hour a night on an average and sleep the night through only about once a week. Once I am awake I am awake for the day.

I dcnot remember the last 'good night's sleep' I have had. It has nothing to do with dreams however; but 1) a bad bed 2) age 3) eating habits 4) can't sleep without the tv on.

My daughter in law has a glass of wine before bed. But I have to take medication, otherwise I clean the house in my head. It would be so nice to be able to just fall asleep and wake up refreshed. If you are taking that herb that helps you sleep, that might be giving you the nightmares, it did me. Good luck!

Don't watch t.v or anything before you sleep. Read a book or meditate or whatever. You should be relaxed before you sleep. If you do all that then maybe you won't keep waking up.

You may want to ask yourself why you are having nightmares. Are you under stress? Dreams can be manifestations of your worries and concerns.

There are various ways to treat insomina, including taking herbal teas that induce relaxation and sleep. Or you can also try an age old healing treatment, acupuncture, that can help stimulate sleep.

Are you taking any different medicines, drinks, caffeine, smoking, or anything else toxic or different? These may be causing your mind to react differently. Are you under stress? this may also cause your sleep disturbance. You may have something more serious with you, but a week is a short time to have this problem and think it is a problem.

i sleep fine. i have dreams that make me a little tired in the morning, but my sleep is fine, so matter what time i go to bed. i think it might be what you eat or when you eat it. try changing things up and getting stressful things done before the end of the day.

try to think about what happened in the dream, maybe God is trying to tell you something, but still it can just mean nothing, hey it could be your hormones lol try to watch something real funny or peacful before you sleep, for me i sleep with rosarys in my pillow cover because i had a similar experience in the past, i had really bad dreams and could sleep cuz i kept waking up, my mother told me to put the rosarys in my pillow cover and i didnt have a nightmare since
