Here is my recipe, or should I say my Grandmothers recipe;
And I dont give this to everybody, thought you needed help from the recipes you have gotten so far. Sorry folks!!! Yall need to try it to!
1 pkg sm elbow macaroni / cooked, but dont over cook
3 ribs celery / diced fine
1 med onion / diced fine
1 med bell pepper / diced fine
1 block SHARP cheddar cheese / cubed small
1 sm jar diced pimento
3 tbls sweet pickle relish
4 hardboiled eggs / chopped
salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste
1/2 cup of mayonaise, or how ever much you like, but just enough to make it creamy, dont make it soupy. YUK!
Just mix all ingredients in the order listed. Needs to be chilled over night to really taste all of the flavors. It will be better and better every day after being in the fridge! But dont use after 4 days!....mayo dont keep that long combined with hard boiled eggs. I hope you like this recipe. Good luck!!!

I'll tell you, but it's a family secret, so you'll need to give me your address so that I can kill you then...;-)!
Seriously, yours sounds about like how I make it, except that I add some chopped carrots and use the raw onions. Sometimes I add some cider vinegar, it helps loosen it all up.
Someone I work with has a recipe that uses sweetened, condensed milk, it's really good, but I don't think I have it.

Mine is pretty much like yours except I use green onions instead of the onion powder because we love onions. Only other difference is a little vinegar (red wine or cider) and a little worcestershire sauce and some milk so I don't have to use as much Miracle Whip. I also add radishes or carrots if I have them.

1 pound macaroni elbows or cavatappi corkscrew shaped hollow pasta
Salt
1 cup frozen corn, defrosted
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1 small red onion, chopped
4 ribs celery, chopped
Black pepper
8-ounce brick Monterey pepper jack cheese, diced
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar, eyeball it
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil, eyeball it
1 cup store bought tomatillo salsa (mild, green) or chipotle salsa (hot, smoky red)
2 tablespoons chopped cilantro leaves or flat-leaf parsley
Bring water to a boil, salt it and add pasta.
While pasta water is coming up to a boil and cooking, combine corn, pepper, onion and celery in a bowl with pepper Jack cheese. Season the veggies with salt and pepper.
Run pasta under cold water to cool it and drain it well. Add pasta to vegetables and cheese.
Place vinegar in a small bowl and whisk in extra-virgin olive oil, then fold in salsa. Pour sauce over salad and toss to coat evenly. Garnish salad with cilantro or parsley and serve.

I don't know why but this is my mothers mothers recipe and every time I make it for an event people ask for the recipe.
Elbow macaroni
miracle whip
1 can peas
1 can tuna
chopped celery
chopped sweet onion
Simple and I usually have everything on hand for when those unexpected get togethers come up.
