Remember, "god" is nothing more than a nonsense word created by man to explain away all of the things we can't yet understand.

Religion is a disease of the mind, born of fear, which has done nothing but bring untold misery down upon the human race.

Yes in islamic teaching if we have done a bad doing we should as soon as possible ask for forgiveness to Allah the only one God if the wrong doing only to Allah such as delaying the praying and we should do not do like that again. But if the wrong doing will hurt other we should also ask for forgiveness to the related person as soon as possible and we should do not do like that again. It is called taubat nasuha or repenting or regretting.Allah will not forgive us if we do the same wrong doing after ask for forgiveness.
Allah spoke in the holy Qur'an that the one greatest sin will not be forgiven by Allah that is the sin of being a kafir or infidel or unbeliever or heathen or atheist..So in line with islamic teaching all ifidels will go to hell and they will be punished eternally. after the resurrection day of God's final judgement.

God doesn't forgive us for all our sins. If we sin and then ask forgiveness and say that we will never commit the same sin again yes god forgives us. However, if we keep on commiting the same sin all the time and we never admit or stop or if we say that we will never sin again and we do, no God will not forgive and he will ask us about and punish us for it on the Judgement day.

John 3:18
"Whoever believes in him (Jesus Christ) is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son".
