He is a very attractive, caring guy and he's like a mentor to me. My bf tends to ignore me a lot, but his dad acknowledges me. I just watch how sweet and adoring he is with his wife, and I wish my guy would treat me this way. It hurts me so to watch them together. Sometimes, I feel so strongly for him that I want to kiss him. It's not so much that I feel sexual for him, but I wish someone would care for me as he does for his wife. He pays attention to her and they do everything together, while my bf is oblivious in his world of the computer and TV. How can I get my bf to treat me this way? Will he mature to be like his dad, or is it a lost cause at his age (he's 23)?

You don't really want the dad. You want the knowing that someone loves you so much and will treat you right. If your bf cant do that and you think you need that in a relationship, then dump him. If you can live without then talk to your bf to try and make some changes. Good Luck!

tell him the qualities you like that his dad has, explain that you would like to be treated as his mother is by his father, if he cannot give you this sort of attention, to let you know now, so you can stop wasting your time

he might become more mature. it takes time. but i would try to turn off the feelings for the dad lol.

u just gotta give him time. tell him that u want him to show more. keep ur realtionship running, do things together like his dad does to his mom.

just tell him how you feel and if things dont improve then it will stay like that and you need to end it.
