I want to do a ritual for samhain, but recently, I moved and have no one to do one with, are there any rituals for this for a solitary? I also practice nocturnally.
Thank you and blessed be

Just go ahead and do your regular ritual and instead of having the parts assigned for eah group member, do them ALL yourself. That what most solitaries do anyway. Or you can simply rewrite your BOS to accomodate solitary rituals and expand it for BOTH instances (solitary AND group).

If you can find one, I recommend Scott Cunningham's
"Wicca for the Solitary Practitioner". As a Solitary, I find that
it helps me decide how to practice whatever ritual is appropriate and that I feel comfortable with.
Or as they said, go with the flow.
If you'd like to find others of like mind in your new place,
www.witchvox.com has ways of showing you if there are
groups in your area. They may give you ideas about your
ritual practices too.

Of course. There are many, many solitary wiccans, people who live away from others like them. If you look around on the internet, something will turn up. Pretty much any ritual can be done alone, it just takes a little bit of creativity.

Remember, it's the thought and feeling of the ceremony, not the number of people there.

I usually follow my instincts for rituals after a lot of basic study but for Samhain light candles at your windows to guide the spirits of your ancestors home. Have a silent hour in rememberance of the dead perhaps? Then celebrate their lives with yummy food and a glass of wine and music!

There are several good rituals for Solitary practitioners. Also if you go to www.witchvox.com and look in your state you may be able to find a coven that you like.

You're jumping ahead a little... what about the Autumn Equinox? I've found the best ritual is an improvised one. Most of the time, you can adapt group rituals so that you can perform them alone.

Back when I practiced Wicca my rituals were always improvised on the spot. They were spur-of-the-moment deals. They were always best that way, better than any pre-fab rituals out there.
